Privacy Policy
How Park Rangers AFC looks after personal data on this website and where to go for more information.
At a glance
- This website is run by Park Rangers AFC.
- We collect only what we need to reply to enquiries and to show you where to find the club.
- Membership, lotto and shop orders are handled by third parties (ClubForce and Alfie Hale), not by this website.
- Google Maps only loads if you choose to enable it.
- We do not use advertising or behavioural tracking cookies.
- You can ask us about your data or make a complaint at any time.
Who we are
The data controller for this website is Park Rangers AFC. Our address is The Glen, Faithlegg, County Waterford, Ireland, X91 AEP2. You can contact us by email at secretary@parkrangersafc.ie or by phone on 087 655 3823.
For data-protection questions, please contact the club secretary by email at secretary@parkrangersafc.ie.
What personal data this website collects
This website collects information only in the following ways:
- Contact form: name, email address, phone number (optional), subject and message.
- Technical information: standard server logs such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time of the request. These logs are used for security and to keep the site running.
- Cookie preference: your consent choices are stored in your browser using localStorage so we do not ask you again on every visit.
We do not collect membership, player or payment data through this website. That information is collected by ClubForce when you register or pay through ClubForce.
How we use contact form information
We use the information you send through the contact form to respond to your enquiry. Your message is sent to the club secretary by email (via Formspree). It may be shared with the relevant committee member (for example, the membership officer or lotto coordinator) so they can answer your question.
We do not use your contact details for marketing unless you specifically ask us to, and we do not add you to any mailing list automatically.
Messages are usually kept for up to 12 months after the enquiry is resolved, or longer if we are required to keep them by law.
Website technical information
Standard web server logs may be kept by the company that hosts this website (Cloudflare). These logs are needed to deliver the site securely and to investigate problems. They are not used to identify you for marketing.
ClubForce
ClubForce is a separate company that provides membership, player and club administration services to Park Rangers AFC. When you click a ClubForce link or complete a ClubForce registration, you leave this website and ClubForce becomes the data controller for the information you give it.
ClubForce’s own privacy policy and cookie policy apply to that information. Park Rangers AFC does not store a copy of your ClubForce registration on this website.
External clothing shop
Club clothing and merchandise are sold through Alfie Hale. When you click a product link, you leave this website and go to Alfie Hale. Alfie Hale is responsible for its own privacy and cookie practices.
Park Rangers AFC does not see or store your shop order details, payment information or delivery address.
Google Maps
Our contact page can show an embedded Google Maps map. Google Maps is a third-party service. The map is not loaded automatically. It only loads after you choose to enable it in our cookie settings or by clicking “Enable Google Maps”. Google’s own terms and privacy policy apply when the map is loaded.
Photographs and videos
Photographs and videos may be taken at club activities and events. Taking a photograph is different from publishing or using it. The club only publishes or uses photographs where it has an appropriate lawful basis, such as consent or legitimate interest.
Where parents or guardians have used the club’s photography preference or opt-out mechanism, we will take reasonable steps to respect that choice. If you have questions about photographs or videos, please contact the club.
Children’s personal data
We are careful with children’s personal data. We do not knowingly collect children’s data through this website. Children’s membership and registration information is handled by ClubForce in line with the arrangements made by parents or guardians.
If we become aware that we have received personal data from a child through this website in a way we did not intend, we will delete it promptly.
Legal bases for processing
Under GDPR, we process personal data on the following bases:
- Legitimate interest: replying to enquiries, keeping the website secure, displaying the club’s location and publishing photographs where appropriate.
- Consent: loading Google Maps and, where applicable, publishing photographs of children.
- Legal obligation: keeping records where required by law or sports governing-body rules.
Data retention
We keep personal data only for as long as necessary for the purpose it was collected. Contact form messages are typically kept for 12 months. Server logs are typically kept for the period set by Cloudflare in line with its own policies. If you ask us to delete your data, we will do so unless we are legally required to keep it.
Data security
We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect personal data, including using secure hosting, HTTPS and access limited to committee members who need it. Please note that no method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
Third-party service providers
This website uses the following third-party services:
- Formspree: to deliver contact form messages to the club secretary.
- Google Fonts: to load the website’s typography.
- Google Maps: only when you consent.
- Hosting provider: Cloudflare.
International transfers
Some of the services listed above (such as Formspree and Google) may process data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, it is generally under standard contractual clauses or other safeguards approved under GDPR. Please contact us if you would like more information.

Under GDPR and the Irish Data Protection Act 2018, you have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate information.
- Ask us to delete your personal data in certain circumstances.
